On April 18th, Watson Martial Arts, located on Papin Street in St. Louis, MO, had the honor of hosting a special seminar in partnership with the Roll Like a Girl organization, a community dedicated to empowering women and girls through Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ).
The event brought together 55 women and girls from across the area for an inspiring day of training, connection, and growth on the mats
Empowering Women Through Jiu Jitsu
Roll Like a Girl is known for creating inclusive opportunities for women and girls to experience Jiu Jitsu, build confidence, and develop real-world skills in a supportive environment. Their mission aligns closely with what we believe at Watson Martial Arts, that martial arts should be accessible, empowering, and community-driven.
With the guidance of two experienced female black belts, participants were able to learn techniques, ask questions, and train in an atmosphere that encouraged both learning and connection. For many, it was not just a seminar; it was an introduction to what makes St. Louis Brazilian Jiu Jitsu such a powerful tool for personal development.
